Resort General Manager Simon Stodart announced today that a major refurbishment and redevelopment program of the Palmer Coolum Resort would commence as early as next month, with the accommodation and conference component of the business temporarily closing during the refurbishment process.
The golf course and many other attractions will remain open.
The world-class Robert Trent Jones Jr-designed championship golf course and associated golf facilities will continue to function as normal during the renovation period, as will the Palmer Grill restaurant and the Tennis Centre.
Palmer Coolum Resort is an iconic resort like no other on the Sunshine Coast. Set at the base of Mount Coolum, fronting onto 2km of pristine beach, it covers 150 hectares and has a diverse array of activities.
The 18 hole, Par 72 championship golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr, measures 6137m from the Championship tees. Over the recent years, the course has been graced by the some of the World’s best players including Major winners Adam Scott, Bubba Watson and Greg Norman to name but a few. The diverse and exciting Championship course offers contrasting landscapes from lakeside holes to manicured fairways that weave their way through native bush land.
